Caregiver/Resident Assistant (FREE PAID CNA Training)

Qualifications:
  • Must have up-to-date MMR vaccination & physical
  • Must pass a background check, which may require fingerprinting
  • RA chosen to go through CNA training must work at the facility as a CNA after completion of the program
  • Preferred: 1 year of customer service or healthcare skills
  • Compassion: Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve patients' lives
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
  • Physical Stamina: Physical fitness and endurance to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, and assisting patients
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different healthcare settings
Responsibilities:
  1. Make rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention
  2. Straighten utility rooms, linen rooms, and pantries as needed
  3. Assist with meal service
  4. Complete the Paid Feeding Assistant Program and work under the supervision of a nurse to feed or assist residents
  5. Deliver mail to residents; open and read mail to residents as requested
  6. Make resident beds and keep rooms tidy
  7. Pass clean linen
  8. Assure ice water is available on units
  9. Prepare rooms for new admissions
  10. Take inventory of resident’s possessions and send items to laundry to be labeled
