Job summary

Lake Port Square Senior Living, LLC in Leesburg, FL, is seeking a hospitality-minded Caregiver for part-time and PRN roles. Night shifts and weekend shifts are available to join our Assisted Living team.

As a Caregiver, you will support licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living, ensure compassionate resident care, and help maintain a welcoming, home-like environment for our residents on a fast-paced campus near Lake Harris.

Qualifications

• State-approved geriatric nursing assistant training completed; prior geriatric aide preferred; active Florida CNA required.
• Ability to understand/follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and document care given.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Administer treatments, perform tests, and follow procedures as instructed; record observations.
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed; respond to signals promptly.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly rooms and work stations.
• Support independence and participation in activities and rehabilitation.

About The Role

The Caregiver assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

Duties

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.

Other Duties

• Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment.
• Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
• Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Must have active C.N.A. certification in State of Florida.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
