Job summary

New Perspective Mankato is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide daily quality care, engage residents in activities, assist with meals, and support living life on purpose at our Mankato community.

We offer training, tuition assistance to advance to Med Passer, Lead, CNA or STNA, flexible schedules, full-time, part-time or PRN, and a range of benefits including 401(k), PTO, life and disability coverage, HSA/HEBA, and wage access.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary-- training will be provided.
• High school diploma or work equivalency required.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand the English language.
• Personal Care Assistant (PCA) experience preferred.
• Med Passer and/or Lead experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact in a professional, respectful, and hospitable manner.
• Assist with daily personal and medical care routines according to individual care plans.
• Provide physical fitness, brain fitness, and social/spiritual enrichment activities.
• Observe residents and report to nursing any changes in physical, mental, and emotional condition.
• Record proper medical and health documentation per established procedures.
• Cook, serve, and feed meals to provide an engaging dining experience.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment and living areas.
• Promote teamwork, laughter, and happiness every day.

Wage

$15.50-$16.50 depending on experience and qualifications.

We offer a Caregiver Career Path Program: This program allows Caregivers the opportunity to train for leadership roles with progressive wage increases. While engaged in this program caregivers can earn up to $20 an hour in the first year of employment.
