Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant - All Shifts - $17 - $21 / hr

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Companion Caregiver to provide services to patients/clients in their places of residence.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides "hands off" care such as:
2. Providing and encouraging socialization
3. Encouraging a mild exercise program
4. Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
5. Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
6. Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
7. Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
8. Arrives at the client's home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
9. Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
10. Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years old
2. One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
3. Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
4. Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
5. Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
6. Proficiency in the English language is required
7. Computer proficiency required
