HR Alliance Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a family in Pleasanton, California, seeking a dependable, upbeat, and compassionate Caregiver/Personal Assistant to support their 34-year-old son with special needs.

The role involves transporting the client to the day program and activities, accompanying him on recreational outings such as golf and meals, and providing friendly companionship to support independence and social interaction.

Competenze

• 2+ years caregiving or personal assistant experience required.
• Fluent in English with clear, friendly communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to work evenings, overnight shifts, and some weekends.
• Ability to commute to Pleasanton or relocate before starting.

About the Role

HR Alliance Group is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a family in Pleasanton, California, seeking a dependable, upbeat, and compassionate Caregiver/Personal Assistant to support their 34-year-old son with special needs.

The ideal candidate will serve as both a caregiver and companion, assisting with transportation to his day program and activities, accompanying him on outings, and encouraging an active, social, and independent lifestyle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active and building a meaningful, long-term professional relationship with the individual they support.

About the Individual You’ll Support

Our client’s son is charming, funny, and outgoing, with good verbal communication skills. He walks independently and is fully vaccinated.

He enjoys golf, bowling, bocce, working out at the gym with his trainer, watching movies and TV at home or at the theater, and especially going out to dinner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to and from his day program, appointments, and activities using the family's vehicle.
• Accompany him on recreational outings, including golf, bowling, bocce, gym sessions, movies, dinners, and day trips.
• Provide friendly companionship while encouraging independence, social interaction, and healthy routines.
• Help maintain his safety and comfort at home and in the community.
• Stay overnight on scheduled nights (private bedroom and bathroom provided).
• Keep the family informed about daily activities and communicate any concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: At least 2 years of caregiving or personal assistant experience (required).
• Communication: Fluent in English with clear and friendly communication skills (required).
• Driving: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Personality: Active, enthusiastic, patient, dependable, and comfortable with an active schedule.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varying days and hours, including evenings, overnight shifts, and occasional weekends.
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute to Pleasanton, California, or be willing to relocate before starting (required).

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
• Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours.
• Evening and overnight shifts may be required.

• Overtime may be available.
