Job summary

Right at Home in Mitchell, SD is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist clients at home with daily activities and personal care. You will help with mobility, hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments, while providing companionship and support.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, good English skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. CNA/Home Health Aide certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring/moving the client within the home.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany client to errands or medical appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, etc.).
• Assistance with range of motion exercises.
• Provide companionship through reading, music, and activities.

Responsibilities and Duties: In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Medication reminders
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile
• Pass a backgroung check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
