Job summary

Springhouse of Lely Palms in Naples, FL is seeking a part-time Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, housekeeping, and laundry. You will support socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs as part of the Health & Wellness Team to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualified applicants have a High School diploma, basic reading/writing skills, and ability to speak English; Florida state regulations require certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic reading and writing skills; ability to speak English clearly.
• Experience and knowledge working with elderly residents; dementia experience preferred.
• Certification required according to Florida state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, meals, housekeeping and laundry.
• Support residents in socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs.
• Contribute to resident care as a member of the Health & Wellness Team, ensuring quality care.

As a Caregiver you assist residents in all aspects of their daily life. This includes personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation and information needs. As a member of the Health & Wellness Team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Clearinghouse Screening: This position requires additional screening through FL Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse--link to site https://info.flclearinghouse.com/

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
Certification: Certification required according to state regulations

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
