Job summary

Arden Courts of West Delray is seeking a part-time Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, personal care, meals, housekeeping and socialization. You will work as part of the Health & Wellness Team to ensure high-quality resident care and a supportive environment.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic reading/writing skills, and the ability to speak English clearly.

Qualifications

• Clearance: This position requires screening through Florida Clearinghouse.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Skills: Basic reading, writing and ability to speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, meals, housekeeping and laundry.
• Support residents with orientation, information needs and social interactions.
• Contribute to a safe and clean living environment and follow care plan instructions.

As a Caregiver you assist residents in all aspects of their daily life. This includes personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation and information needs. As a member of the Health & Wellness Team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Clearinghouse Screening: This position requires additional screening through FL Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse--link to sitehttps://info.flclearinghouse.com/

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
Certification: Certification required according to state regulations

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
