Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking a Care Provider at Ivy Park at Tustin to deliver personal care and daily assistance to residents on Saturdays and Sundays, 2 PM–10 PM. The role supports ADLs, upholds dignity, safety, and resident independence within our five-star community.

You will work with a compassionate team, following our mission and values, and receive training if needed while fulfilling health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; training will be provided.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and meet their needs.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and residents.
• Criminal background check and health screening required.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking, continence).
• Respond promptly to residents' needs protecting dignity and safety.
• Report changes in residents' condition to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for residents and staff.
• Promote teamwork across departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
