Job summary

Ivy Terrace at Garden Grove, managed by Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Care Provider to assist residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate support in a premier senior living community. The PT AM Shift is 6am–2pm.

Applicants should be 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED and strong customer service. Training is provided; health screenings and background checks are required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal communication to interact with staff, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Background check and health screening including TB tests and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as per care plan (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence).
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Communicate observed changes of condition to a supervisor promptly.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions with co-workers and departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
