Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join the growing team. You will provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support to seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes.

Competitive weekly pay, direct deposit, free medical insurance, and referral bonuses are offered. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of personal care experience, a valid driver’s license and insurance if transporting

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred.
• Previous caregiving experience in similar roles is a plus.
• Must pass criminal background checks and fingerprint checks.
• Must be physically able to perform essential duties.
• Reliable transportation and, if transporting clients, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and ADLs according to care plans.
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Offer companionship, social engagement, and supportive client relationships.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home.
• Provide medication reminders per the care plan and assist with transportation to appointments.

Job Responsibilities

As a Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate and dependable support based on each client's individual needs and care plan.

Personal Care

• Assist with bathing and grooming
• Provide toileting and incontinence care
• Assist with dressing and personal hygiene
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Help clients maintain their dignity and independence

Home and Daily Living Support

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding, when applicable
• Perform light housekeeping
• Assist with laundry
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Assist clients with daily routines

Companionship and Support

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Encourage independence and social engagement
• Assist clients with appropriate daily activities
• Develop a respectful and supportive relationship with clients

Mobility Assistance

• Assist with ambulation
• Assist with transfers, as permitted by the client's care plan
• Support safe movement throughout the home

Medication Reminders

• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan and applicable requirements

Transportation and Community Support

• Assist with transportation to medical appointments, when applicable
• Assist with errands and community activities, when applicable

Qualifications

We are looking for caring, dependable, and responsible individuals who take pride in providing quality care.

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred
• Previous experience as a Caregiver, PCA, HHA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Direct Care Worker, or similar position is a plus
• Proof of current TB testing required
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
• Must have reliable transportation
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be mature, caring, punctual, and dependable
• Ability to work independently while following the client's care plan
• Must successfully pass required criminal background and fingerprint checks
