Job summary

Flatirons FlexCare for Seniors is seeking a dedicated Non-Medical Caregiver to support seniors in their own homes, helping maintain independence, safety, and quality of life. You will follow individualized care plans, providing personal care, light housekeeping, mobility support, shopping, meal prep, and companionship.

Applicants should be 18+, have reliable transportation if possible, and be able to pass state background checks (CBI, CAPS).

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation; a personal vehicle is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) background checks.
• Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, dependability, and a caring attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance (showering, dressing, grooming) for seniors in their homes.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe living environment.
• Support mobility, transfers, fall prevention, and general movement throughout the home.
• Shop for groceries and run essential errands, including medication pickups.
• Prepare simple, nutritious meals and help with hydration and dietary reminders.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to encourage engagement in daily activities.

Job Description

At Flatirons FlexCare for Seniors, we believe compassionate caregivers make a meaningful difference every day. As a Non-Medical Caregiver, you will provide personalized support to seniors in the comfort of their own homes, helping them maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.

Each client has a unique care plan tailored to their individual needs. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Personal care and hygiene assistance: Provide standby assistance with showering and bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, hair care, and nail care for non-diabetic clients.

• Light housekeeping: Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light cleaning tasks such as laundry, dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

• Mobility assistance: Assist clients with walking, transfers, fall prevention, and general mobility support to ensure comfort and safety throughout the home.

• Shopping and errands: Assist with grocery shopping, food bank pick-ups, medication pick-ups, and other essential errands.

• Meal preparation: Prepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with hydration and dietary reminders as needed.

• Emotional support and companionship: Provide friendly companionship, conversation, and emotional support while encouraging engagement in activities and daily routines.

Job Requirements
