Griswold Home Care in Carroll County seeks reliable, compassionate caregivers to help seniors stay in the homes they love. You’ll assist with daily tasks, provide companionship, and support independence with a cheerful, respectful approach.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and monitoring well-being. CPR certification is required; CNA is a plus. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are preferred, with travel within Carroll County expected.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required
• TB clearance per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations
• At least one year of caregiving or home care experience preferred
• Comfortable working in pet-friendly homes (cats and dogs)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration
• Willingness to travel within Carroll County
• Must pass a criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED preferred

A Day in the Life of a Caregiver

As a Caregiver with Griswold Home Care for Carroll County, you help older adults stay in the homes they love and live life their way. You assist with everyday tasks so clients can stay as independent as possible, and your positive attitude makes a difference to them. Whether you’re doing light housekeeping, making a meal, or grabbing groceries, you take care of each task with a cheerful, steady hand.

Sometimes you work with clients who have dementia or other memory changes. You stay patient and kind while helping with things like eating and bathing, and your respectful approach lets clients keep their dignity and feel at ease.

You also keep clear, accurate notes on each shift and check in with the office often, so clients get consistent care from one visit to the next. At the end of every day, you head home proud, knowing you made a real difference in someone’s life.

What We’re Looking For
