Caregiver: Newark, DE (starting rate @ $16.25/hour)

Always Best Care is seeking dedicated employees to provide home care services to our clients. Must be FULLY VACCINATED! Every other weekend availability is required.

Pre-employment/Referral Requirements

The offer is contingent upon completing the following:

• Adult Abuse Registry Check
• Criminal Background Check and Fingerprinting
• Complete Drug Screen
• TB test at time of hire
• Physical exam

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary per client and may include:

• Daily routine care (feeding, grooming, bathing)
• Light shopping
• Providing companionship and assurance
• Meal preparation and cleanup
• Reporting incidents or concerns immediately
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• At least 1 year of experience with adults in a home setting preferred
• English proficiency and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with various personalities
• Three references
• Proof of recent TB/PPD test
• Successful background check
• Certifications such as CNA, HHA, BLS/CPR are a plus

Physical Demands

Physical requirements vary per client but may include:

• Transferring clients
• Standing for long periods
• Lifting over 10 lbs

Activities may involve medium to heavy exertion, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not include supervisory duties.
