Job summary

Right at Home South Columbus Metro is seeking a compassionate caregiver for dayshift assignments in Lancaster, OH. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, based on experience.

The role emphasizes in-home non-medical care and companionship to help clients maintain independence in their own homes. As a caregiver, you will assist with daily living activities, safety, and personalized care plans, while building strong, supportive relationships with clients and their families.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with transfers when necessary.
• CPR and First Aid Certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.
• Provide medication reminders (not administering meds).
• Escort clients to appointments and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain documentation of services provided.
• Follow company policies and HIPAA regulations; support client care plans.

Position Summary

As a Caregiver, you will provide non-medical in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities. You'll help clients maintain their independence by assisting with daily living activities while delivering compassionate, respectful, and personalized care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

  • Bathing

  • Dressing

  • Grooming

  • Toileting

  • Mobility and transfers

• Provide companionship and emotional support.

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.

• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.

• Provide medication reminders (no medication administration unless authorized).

• Escort clients to appointments and errands.

• Monitor and report changes in a client's condition.

• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.

• Follow all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and client care plans.

• Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.

Qualifications

• Current auto insurance (if transporting clients).

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with transfers when necessary.

• Previous caregiving, home health, assisted living, or nursing home experience is preferred but not required.

• CPR and First Aid Certification are a plus.
