Job summary

A Special Touch In Home Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

The shift runs 8am-3pm Monday to Friday; you must be able to transport clients for errands or appointments and provide high-quality in-home care. Our benefits include PTO, health, vision, dental insurance, and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Compassionate caregiver with a can-do attitude.
• Valid driver\u2019s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide personal care and hygiene in home settings.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly or post-surgery clients, including bathing, dressing and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around the house and accompany to appointments or walks.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed.
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Complete client shopping or accompany them to stores.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a safe home environment.
• Report any unusual incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities and meals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
