Level: Entry. Job Location: Silvergate Fallbrook - Fallbrook, CA 92028. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly. Travel Percentage: None. Job Shift: Swing (PM Shift).
Additional Location: Silvergate San Marcos - San Marcos, CA. SIGN ON BONUS: $1,000 (terms & conditions apply).
Silvergate San Marcos is a premier senior living community in San Diego County. We are seeking caring, friendly and compassionate individuals to join our Memory Care team as Caregivers in our Memory Care Suites facility, supporting residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and memory loss.

Reports to: Director of Resident Care. One of the highest Caregiver-to-Resident ratios in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to residents per the Silvergate Care Plan, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs): grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, incontinence care, transfers, escorting to meals and activities.
- Serve as a loving companion and interact with residents daily.
- Communicate with and reassure family members as needed.
- Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational programs.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of dementia and respond according to training.
- Escort residents to medical appointments, errands and offsite activities as needed.
- Use mechanical devices (Hoyer lift) to transfer residents as required.
- Under supervision, record resident care statistics (e.g., weight monthly).
- Maintain documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Prepare and recount Incident Reports as needed.
- Monitor supplies and report needs to the LVN Supervisor.
- Encourage socialization and assist with setup and cleanup of equipment and engagement tools.
- Interact with medical professionals as required.
- Exhibit punctual and regular attendance; demonstrate high standards of customer service.
- Be compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of the elderly.
- Perform other duties as assigned. May occasionally work beyond scheduled hours.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have First Aid Certification.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Proficient computer skills; comfortable recording resident care, referring to electronic files, and reporting incidents on the computer.
- Ability to work well with others; enjoy working with senior citizens.
- Ability to take directions from supervisor and follow through to completion with tasks.
- Ability to respond effectively in an emergency or crisis situation.
- Must have schedule flexibility and be able to work weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, push, pull, sit and stand for extended periods; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
