New Horizons In-Home Care in Oregon is seeking a dedicated Caregiver Mentor to support our team of caregivers in delivering compassionate in-home care.

You will train caregivers, assess training needs, deploy diverse teaching methods, and mentor new staff to ensure successful onboarding. The role also involves ensuring compliance with OAR qualifications and supporting care plans and ISPs, while occasionally providing direct caregiving when needed.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years caregiver experience with advanced skills or CNA certification.
• Teaching or training experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Weekend availability required; valid driver license and auto insurance.

Aufgaben

• Train Caregivers in basic and caregiver skills as needed
• Identify and assess future and current training needs for caregivers
• Deploy a wide variety of training methods
• Mentor new caregivers to ensure onboarding is successful
• Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, development and best practices
• Help caregivers understand care plans and ISPs
• Will be required to work as a Caregiver
