Qualifications

  • Licensed as a CNA or Medication Assistant as per state laws.
  • Preferred 6 months experience in home care or assisted living.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication.

  • Shift : Day Shift on Saturdays and Sundays

Essential Job Functions :

  • Assist with simple procedures under the supervision of a nurse, such as range of motion exercises and ambulation support.
  • Provide personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
  • Perform household services essential to health care, like meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
  • Encourage residents to engage in leisure activities and socialize with peers.
  • Observe and document residents' health and emotional conditions, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Respond promptly to resident requests and emergency situations.
  • Promote a safe environment by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Assist residents with transportation to appointments and social programs.
  • Help residents move safely in and out of beds, chairs, and other mobility aids.
  • Support residents in walking with or without self-help devices as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
  • Tactful communication with residents, families, and team members.
  • Experience working with elderly, disabled, and emotionally distressed individuals.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication.

Education and Experience :

  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant or a licensed Medication Assistant as per state laws.
  • Preferred : 6 months or more of experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care settings.
