Job summary

Lutheran SeniorLife in Beaver, PA seeks a dedicated Caregiver to support participants with personal care and daily living tasks in a home- and community-based setting.

The role offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a starting pay of $17 per hour, with full-time hours. You will help promote independence, follow rehab plans, and ensure safe, respectful care for seniors in the LIFE program and related services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience providing care to an individual with a disability or support needs commensurate with the participants served in the waiver or related educational experience.
• Must have dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license in order to visit clients in their homes and other sites.
• At least one (1) year experience with the frail or elderly.

Responsibilities

• The Caregiver is responsible for assisting participants with all aspects of personal care activities and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care when possible.
• Responsible for assisting participants with Instrumental activities of daily living and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of independence when possible.
• Responsible to reinforce and comply with all rehab initiatives and clinical modalities.
