Qualifications

• Must complete the agency's employment process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must exhibit maturity, responsible behavior, and understand consumer confidentiality.
• Must be able to follow directions, and work as a team.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Must pass drug screen

Duties

• Planning and preparing meals (some with dietary restrictions)
• Housekeeping including vacuuming, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, laundry, and bed linens.
• Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer (reading, walks)
• Accompanying the consumer to appointments (if needed)
• Grocery shopping or other errands when needed (if approved)
• Performing personal care for the consumer as needed
• Assisting with ambulation (walking) when consumer uses mechanical aids such as a walker
• Other duties as assigned
