Job summary

Home Instead in the Pittsburgh area is seeking caregivers to provide companionship and personal care to seniors in clients’ homes. You’ll receive training, ongoing support, and the tools you need to succeed.

You’ll drive to clients’ homes in the greater Pittsburgh area, so a valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle are required. Competitive pay with potential to rise to $18/hr after eight weeks, plus benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Minimum of three professional references.
• Willing to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client(s).
• Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills; bilingual candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with seniors through companionship and care.
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Help with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity.

You’ll be driving to client’s homes in the greater Pittsburgh area, so a valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle are required.

Pay & Benefits

• $15.00–$16.00/hr, plus $1/hr for weekend visits**
• Opportunity to earn up to $18.00/hr after your first 8 weeks***
• Weekly pay with direct deposit

*must be in good standing and worked a minimum of 16 visits in first 45 days

**Weekend visits start between Saturday 12:01AM and Sunday 11:59PM

***To be considered for the wage increase, you must meet Honor's requirements as a driver (valid U.S. drivers' license and clean driving record), have more than 6 months of paid/professional caregiving experience, work 20 visits in your first 8 weeks of employment, and remain in good standing with Honor. The $18.00 is for select regions and applies to weekend shifts with high transfer clients
