Senior Helpers of North Valley in the Los Angeles area is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to support older adults at home. We serve clients in Studio City, Glendale, Burbank, North Hollywood, Valley Village and nearby LA communities.

As a caregiver, you’ll provide companionship, assist with personal care, prepare meals, help with light housekeeping and medication reminders, and support safe transfers. Previous caregiving experience is preferred; CNA/HHA welcome.

Qualificações

• Active California Home Care Aide registration or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass background clearance and TB clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance for driving assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide companionship through conversation and activities.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal care.
• Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan.
• Assist with walking and safe transfers using training/equipment.
• Support clients living with dementia or memory loss.
• Help with errands and appointments as needed.
• Complete shift documentation and report changes to the office.

What you’ll do

Depending on the client’s care plan, you may:

• Provide companionship through conversation, activities, and everyday encouragement.

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care.

• Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping and laundry.

• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan.

• Assist with walking and safe transfers using appropriate training and equipment.

• Support clients living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

• Help with errands and appointments when assigned.

• Complete shift documentation and promptly report changes or concerns to the office.

What we’re looking for

• A caring, patient, and respectful approach.

• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication.

• Reliable transportation to assigned clients’ homes.

• Active California Home Care Aide registration, or willingness to complete registration before providing care.

• Ability to meet California’s required background clearance or approved exemption requirements and provide required TB clearance documentation.

• Ability to perform the essential duties of the assigned role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• A valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance for assignments that require driving clients.

Previous caregiving experience is preferred. CNA and HHA applicants are welcome; a nursing license is not required.
