Summary

We are hiring PCA/Home Health Aides/Caregivers to work one-on-one with our in-home patients in East Lyme, CT and surrounding areas. ALL shifts available (days, evenings, and weekends).

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions to help individuals remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
  • Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care (shampoo, combing, brushing), oral care (teeth and dentures), nail care, skin care (pericare and lotion application), and transferring from bed to chair or wheelchair. Assist with bedpan, commode, and toilet transfers.
  • Help with household tasks directly related to clients' personal care needs.
Education and Experience

Experience Desired

  • Experience in home care preferred.

  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet patients' needs.
  • Ability to work in diverse home situations regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
