Job summary

Visiting Angels of Stamford, CT is seeking caregivers to provide one-on-one home care, companionship, and non-medical support to seniors in their own homes. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medication reminders, and help with light housekeeping and meals.

Travel to Greenwich, CT and surrounding areas is required. Must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and able to lift 125–195 lbs. Hoyer lift experience and PPD/physical are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to work; a valid driver’s license preferred.
• Hoyer Lift experience preferred.
• Must have current PPD and physical.
• Alzheimer's/Dementia experience is a plus.
• Able to lift/transfer patients 125–195 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and non-medical support to seniors in their own homes.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Complete light housekeeping duties and meal preparation duties.
• Perform grocery shopping and provide client with transportation to errands and doctor’s appointments

Job Requirements:

• In need of both male and female caregivers who are able to lift/transfer patients of 125-195 lbs
• Hoyer Lift Experience Preferred
• Must be at least 18+ years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work within the United States

• Must have current PPD and physical
• Self-directed, with the ability to work independently
• Alzheimer's/Dementia experience a plus
