Job summary

Oakmont Management Group operates Ivy Park Monterey and seeks a dedicated Care Provider to support residents with daily living tasks and comfort within a warm community environment.

You will assist with Activities of Daily Living, follow care plans, respond to calls promptly, and communicate changes to supervisors while promoting teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18; ability to interact with residents and families.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Background and health screenings, including TB tests; vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living per care plan.
• Respond promptly to residents' needs while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions with colleagues and departments.

The Care Provider

is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

Qualifications:

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
