Job Description: Caregiver at Visiting Angels

Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may be unable to care for themselves. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dignity, patience, and respect, fostering empathetic relationships with clients.

Responsibilities include:

1. Home assistance: Light housekeeping, errands, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation, and personal care such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
2. Companionship: Engaging clients through conversation and encouragement.

Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand, reach, bend, kneel for extended periods.
• Experience caring for seniors or disabled adults, professionally or personally.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to assist others.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Experience with dementia/Alzheimer's, LNA/CNA credentials are pluses.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for clocking in/out and documentation.

Additional Information:

Availability for last-minute shifts, working during set hours (M-F 8/9 am - 4/5 pm), with paid minimum hours if no clients are assigned. The role involves working with diverse clients and delivering top-tier care.
