Job summary

Community Spokane Memory Care at South Hill in Spokane, WA is seeking a compassionate CNA/NAC/HCA to support residents with daily living tasks and monitor well-being.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and documentation, follow care plans, and participate in life enrichment activities while maintaining safety and confidentiality. This is a full-time, non-exempt role requiring teamwork with wellness staff and strict infection control. Training provided, benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• CNA, NAC or HCA certification required.
• Valid Food Worker Card.

Responsibilities

• Observes resident physical, mental, and emotional status and reports changes.
• Reads and follows service plans, attends meetings, and reviews daily reports in the interest of resident care.
• Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living, such as bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, walking, transferring, and turning.
• Applies minor first-aid measures as directed by a nurse.
• Assists with meal service, prepares or examines food trays for prescribed diet, feeds residents, and records food intake when required.
• Responds to resident inquiries and directs to the appropriate person as needed.
• Responds promptly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• Assists with Life Enrichment activities as needed.
• Provides routine updates to other Wellness team members and completes required recordkeeping tasks.
• May assist with housekeeping duties, including removing garbage, making beds, cleaning apartments, and washing, drying, and putting away laundry.
• May obtain and record resident vital signs and weight.
• May collect samples from residents for testing, such as sputum, urine, stool, and/or blood.
• Practice basic infection control with linens, hand washing, and in all other aspects of delivery of resident care.
• Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled by Executive Director.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident, community, employee, and company information.
• Maintain working knowledge of fire and disaster plans and responsibilities under emergency conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
