Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving in San Diego is seeking dependable, heart-centered caregivers to support local veterans at home. You will provide essential personal care, companionship, meal prep, and light housekeeping while ensuring safety, dignity, and continuity of care through VA programs.

We value reliability, compassionate service, and a respectful team culture. A minimum 1 year of caregiving experience is required; HCA registration or willingness to obtain it is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience.
• CNA or HHA preferred but not required.
• Must have Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or be willing to obtain it upon hire.
• TB clearance completed within the last 90 days or within 7 days after hire.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

• Companionship: provide emotional support and engaging conversation.
• Daily Living Support: meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.

• Documentation: maintain clear and accurate care notes for VA program submission.

Requirements:

• CNA or HHA preferred but not required.
