Safe Harbor Home Care, a San Diego–based home care provider, seeks Personal Care Attendants to assist clients in their homes with non-medical services. This role supports independence and daily living activities in the client’s residence and community.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, meal planning, mobility, medication reminders, and companionship. Candidates must meet eligibility/docs requirements and hold a TB certificate and driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Clearance verified on the Home Care Aide Registry.
• Current TB certificate.
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents.
• Completed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
• Complete Personnel Record (LIC 501).
• Complete SOC 341A acknowledgement.
• Valid driver's license (if transporting clients).
• Valid vehicle insurance coverage.

Responsabilités

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and basic hygiene.
• Meal planning and preparation; light housekeeping.
• Transferring, ambulating and positioning; mobility assistance.

Job Description Summary

• Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers provide non-medical service and assistance to a client in their home and communities, who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability, cannot perform these services. These services enable the client to remain in his or her residence and include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following: bathing, dressing, feeding, exercising, personal hygiene and grooming, transferring, ambulating, positioning, toileting and incontinence care, assisting with medication that the client self-administers, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• 18 years of age or older;
• Clearance Verified on the Home Care Aide Registry;
• Current Tuberculosis (TB) certificate;
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents;
• Completed “Criminal Record Statement” (LIC 508);
• Complete “Personnel Record” (LIC 501)
• Complete “Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders” (SOC 341A)
• Current drivers’ license (if transporting clients or running errands);
• Valid vehicle insurance coverage;
• Minimum of five (5) hours entry-level training prior to presence with client(s).

• bathing - shaving - ambulation
• mouth care - dressing - exercising
• hair care - feeding - toileting/incontinence care
• nail care - positioning - medication reminding
• skin care - transferring - meal planning & preparation
