Qualifications

Overview

We are seeking a Caregiver (also known as Direct Support Professional or DSP) to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of adults and seniors with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate is person-centered, patient, compassionate, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or teach resident how to perform their personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Assist and/or teach resident how to prepare their own meals and snacks
• Assist and/or teach resident light housekeeping activities based on their plan of care
• Dispense medication
• Provide and/or teach resident socialization skills
• Assist and/or teach resident planning for meals, community activities, and in-home activities

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred but not required

• Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
