Job summary

Visiting Angels Lancaster is seeking compassionate caregivers for part-time roles with opportunities for extra hours. Provide in-home support, companionship, and basic personal care to seniors, with shifts daytime, evenings, and weekends available. Travel to Lancaster, PA and surrounding communities may be required.

CNA preferred but not required. Candidates must be at least 18, pass background checks, have reliable transportation, and possess strong communication and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
• Must be 18+ years to apply.
• 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• Able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must have valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and proof of current auto insurance.
• Candidate must be dependent and display a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential assistance and companionship to seniors at home.
• Issue medication reminders, when needed.
• Conduct household errands and transportation to doctor’s appointments.
• Personal care and hygiene assistance; including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Provide mobility assistance; such as assisting with walking and transfers.
