Job description

Are you looking for a meaningful caregiving job? If so, UCP Oregon might have the perfect position for you!

UCP Oregon is an exciting and empowering place to work. We help adults who experience developmental disabilities to live the life of their dreams—whether that’s living independently, working in a great job, or pursuing their interests and hobbies.

We are currently seeking a full-time caregiver “Personal Assistant” who will support a woman that experiences developmental disabilities. She is an independent, kind, and humorous woman that lives in her own apartment in SE Portland.

She really enjoys getting out in the community and doing social activities. She has an amazing sense of humor and loves to laugh. She is eager to work with personal assistants that will value time spent in the community as well as downtime in the home. You will spend time together going to movies, bowling, or eating out (especially pizza). She also values working with personal assistants that enjoy planning and participating in arts and crafts activities.

Each day, you’ll assist her with personal care and household tasks such as cooking meals and tidying up her apartment. She needs substantial assistance with showering, dressing, eating, and using her adaptive equipment. You will assist her in managing her health care needs including medication administration and proper care when she is ill or injured.

Schedule listed below:

You’ll work two shifts per week totaling 42 hours: 2pm on Sunday to 8pm on Monday (30-hour shift) and 8am to 8pm on Friday (12-hour shift).

*You’ll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.
