Job summary

Visiting Angels - Acton is seeking caring caregivers to provide non-medical support to seniors at home. You will offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and help maintain independence for clients in the local area.

Responsibilities include personal care tasks, meal prep, light housekeeping, errand running, and documenting care via a smartphone. Flexibility and compassion are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
• Experience with seniors or disabled adults preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Share conversation and companionship with clients.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with medication reminders as directed.
• Provide light housekeeping and laundry assistance.
• Drive clients to appointments and accompany them on errands.
• Document care using a smartphone.
• Support daily routines and activities.

A Typical Day May Include

• Sharing conversation and companionship
• Helping with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Preparing meals
• Providing medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Running errands and grocery shopping
• Driving clients to appointments
• Supporting daily routines and activities
• Documenting care through a smartphone

Requirements

• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
• Experience with seniors or disabled adults preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle
• Active automobile insurance required
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Comfortable using a smartphone for documentation and clock in and out
• CNA/LNA experience or certification is a plus
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus
