Job description

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team!

The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide various levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

1. Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
2. Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
3. Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
4. Plan and prepare meals.
5. Assist with physical therapy exercises.
6. Complete client shopping or accompany them to do so.
7. Perform housekeeping duties.
8. Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
9. Offer activities essential for daily living, including assisting patients with their meals and serving if necessary.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and learn new skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to act compassionately and supportively.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Willing to enforce health and safety standards.
• Supportive and compassionate attitude.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a Caregiver, CNA, HHA, or completion of a CNA program.
• Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
