Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers for in-home support in the Gresham area, serving Maywood, Hazelwood, Fairview, Troutdale, Boring, Sandy, Corbett and nearby communities.

We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid orientation and training, mileage reimbursement, and 24/7 caregiver support. Training is provided if you have no prior experience.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate individuals with strong communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual caregiving with a focus on client well-being.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse client needs.
• Must own a smartphone and be comfortable using a mobile app.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in daily activities and hobbies.
• Drive clients in own vehicle when needed for errands or appointments; ensure safe transportation.
• Monitor client condition and report changes to the team.

Pay: $23-$25 hr. depending on care given.

Current Needs

Day shifts M-F highly needed

• Most shifts start between 8am, 9am or 10am
• Caregivers willing to work with clients who smoke (both indoors and outdoors)
• Caregivers willing to work with pets in client's home
• Drivers who can transport in their own vehicle required
• Behavioral or memory care experience a plus
• Bilingual a plus

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments (driving required)
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Our hiring process is fast and simple! Apply and the recruiter in your region will connect with you to schedule a phone interview. If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients!
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle
• Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed
• Have a valid drivers license, auto insurance, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
