Job summary

Almost Family - Central Oregon is seeking compassionate, dedicated caregivers to support seniors in their homes in Lapine, OR. You will provide personal care, companionship, and practical help to enable independence and safety.

Role requires at least a high school diploma, a caring attitude, and reliable transportation. Training is provided; benefits include PTO, healthcare, and growth opportunities. This position offers meaningful, community-based work with ongoing development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• Compassionate heart with ideally one year of caregiving experience for seniors or disabilities.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Empowering Independence: Assist clients with daily routines including bathing, grooming, dressing, and preparing nutritious meals.
• Attentive Advocacy: Monitor wellbeing, document progress, and prioritize health needs.
• Creating a Sanctuary: Maintain a warm, safe, organized living space where clients feel secure.
• Health and Safety: Follow health and safety policies and regulations.
• Home Comforts: Provide light housekeeping and laundry assistance.
• Out & About: Safely escort and transport clients to medical appointments and errands.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Caregiver role pays between $20 - $22 per hour and paid biweekly.
