Job summary

Oakmont of Torrance, operated by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Care Provider for full-time or part-time PM shifts (2pm–10pm). The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities to promote independence and quality of life in a five-star senior living environment.

Responsibilities include ADL support, prompt responsiveness, and collaboration with the care team. Candidates should be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass health and background screenings.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Able to communicate with residents, families, and care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in ADLs per care plan (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring).
• Respond promptly to residents' needs while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
