Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver Assistant in Marion, IA to support residents with daily living activities, meals, and social engagement. The role emphasizes compassionate care, dignity, and helping seniors live life to the fullest.

Responsibilities include following care plans, communicating changes to leadership, and supporting residents with dementia. Training opportunities and a supportive team environment are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Willing to successfully complete the Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.
  • Willing to take additional training or education as required by state.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
  • Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
  • Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
  • Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia.

Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as a Caregiver Assistant! The Caregiver Assistant supports resident care within the branch. Ensuring Resident’s daily needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest!
