Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Gurnee, IL is looking for a caring Caregiver Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and compassionate care that preserves dignity.

You will work with the branch team to implement care plans, assist with meals and social engagement, and communicate changes in resident needs to clinical leadership. We offer benefits based on status, daily pay, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or one-year related experience.
• Willing to complete Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.
• Willing to take state-required training as needed.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia.

Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as a Caregiver Assistant! The Caregiver Assistant supports resident care within the branch. Ensuring Resident's daily needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest!
