Job summary

A Place At Home - Glenside is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care, including to clients who are deaf or hard of hearing. ASL experience is highly preferred. You will support daily living activities, offer companionship, and ensure safety in a home setting in Glenside, PA and surrounding areas.

Flexible part-time schedules and competitive pay based on experience are offered, with ongoing training and development opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• ASL (American Sign Language) experience strongly preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Must have reliable transportation and pass PA state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Communicate effectively with clients, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing (ASL skills highly preferred).
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support mobility and transfers when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

A Place At Home - Glenside is looking for compassionate, reliable caregivers who can provide exceptional care to our clients—including individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. If you have American Sign Language (ASL) experience, we would love to have you on our team!

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a caregiver (home care, facility, or personal experience)
• ASL (American Sign Language) experience strongly preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with all clients
• Must have reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
• Ability to pass a background check and meet PA state requirements
• CNA, HHA, or DSP certification is a plus (not required)
