This position involves providing resident services such as personal care, medication reminders, social and recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks to promote resident well-being. The caregiver must be attentive to each resident's needs and strive to enrich their lives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality of residents.
• Review resident Service Plans regularly to understand their needs and preferences.
• Monitor updates in resident service needs and health conditions through communication logs and notes.
• Provide personal care and assist with medications as indicated and permitted by regulation.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with housekeeping as needed.
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
• Report any changes in resident needs or health status.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report any abuse or suspected abuse.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Meet in-service training requirements.
• Have a genuine desire to work with seniors and respect their dignity and independence.
• Be organized, able to work well with others, and follow dress code.
• Maintain a cheerful attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more, and stand or walk for long periods.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Basic understanding of senior needs.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with seniors or in caregiving is preferred.
