Part Time 3pm - 11pm One Weekend Shift Required
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
The Caregiver position provides support for our community’s residents with essential day-to-day tasks they can no longer perform or need help with. Caregivers are responsible for assisting people with daily tasks such as laundry, cleaning, bathing, dressing, and medication management. Successful Caregivers are sensitive, respectful, and passionate about helping those in need.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support residents with medication management.
- Reposition residents in bed and escort them around the community.
- Provide toileting and incontinent care.
- Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse.
- Observe and report on residents’ health, escalating any problems efficiently.
- Complete daily reports for nurses or designated charge persons at the end of each shift.
- Provide emotional support and serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones.
- Assist residents with mobility, including getting in and out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs.
- Assist residents with eating and drinking.
- Ensure resident safety, provide customer service, and communicate effectively.
What You’ll Bring
Position Requirements / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; mandatory in some states.
- Minimum age of 18 years or as required by state regulations.
- Experience working alone, in teams, and on projects from start to finish.
- Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills.
- Dedication to the medical field, especially in resident care.
- Ability to pass state and company background checks and drug tests.
- Ability to take vital signs.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Medication supervision within state regulations.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
