Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and restroom needs
  • Implement and support individual resident care plans
  • Assist residents with transferring between locations (e.g., bed to wheelchair)
  • Maintain a clean living environment, including bedrooms, kitchens, and laundry areas, according to schedule
  • Provide medication reminders and assistance, ensuring residents take their medications properly
  • Adhere to the Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace policy
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Patience and understanding, especially when caring for residents with dementia
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality
  • Professional appearance
  • Willingness to take initiative and respond to potential crises in a dementia care setting
  • Pride in work and good communication skills
  • Criminal background check clearance
  • Immunization documentation
  • Minimum age of 18 or high school diploma
  • Experience with seniors preferred; CNA certification is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
