Job summary

Synergy Senior Management in Michigan seeks compassionate 1st shift part-time caregivers to support residents with daily living tasks, mobility, meals, and personal care.

Responsibilities include hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and safety reporting. Prior caregiver experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient in one-on-one caregiving.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• At least 1 year healthcare/home-care experience.
• High School Diploma or CNA/HHA certification preferred.
• Hoyer Lift experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and basic daily living support.
• Assist with prescribed medications and ambulation as needed.
• Support mobility around the house or outdoors and plan meals.
• Offer and assist with activities essential for daily living.
• Perform light housekeeping and report incidents promptly.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and daily exercises.
• Ensure safety and dignity during all caregiving tasks.

Job description

We are looking for compassionate 1st shift part time caregivers to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
