Job summary

Merrill Gardens at West Chester seeks caring caregivers to support residents in daily activities and wellness. This part-time role focuses on delivering compassionate assistance with dressing, bathing, meals, and daily tasks in a welcoming community.

Ideal candidates have state-approved caregiver training or CNA certification, with willingness to obtain CPR/first aid. A caring, honest approach and reliability are essential for our team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
