Job summary

Avista Senior Living is expanding throughout Arizona and is currently looking for CERTIFIED CAREGIVERS to join our team at our community in Yuma, AZ. We offer meaningful work and opportunities to grow while delivering red carpet service to residents.

In this role you will read and implement care plans, respond to alarms, and promote resident independence with compassionate care. Positive attitude, reliability, and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• AZ Caregiver certification is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in an assisted living setting.
• Commitment to health and safety in daily care.
• Reliable with strong punctuality and responsibility.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A positive and compassionate attitude toward residents.
• Must have physical stamina for caregiving tasks.
• CPR certification and fingerprint background check required.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to resident service plans.
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and alarms promptly.
• Show empathy and build caring rapport with residents; promote independence.
• Deliver care and services per individual service plans.
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered.
• Complete incident reports; follow safety and infection control policies; keep environment clean.
• Identify and report safety concerns in residents' environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plans
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents. Promotes resident independence and self-care.
• Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered.
• Completes incident reports accurately and timely. Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses. Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.
• Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident.
