Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare is seeking reliable, compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care in Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. You will help clients stay safe and independent, offer companionship, and follow each client's care plan.

Qualifications

• Previous professional caregiving experience is strongly preferred.
• Current California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration preferred.
• Willing to complete California HCA registration and Live Scan requirements if not registered.
• Current TB clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with insurance when driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social engagement to clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention measures.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Medication reminders and transportation to appointments when needed.
• Maintain a safe home environment and follow care plans.
• Communicate changes to the office and family.

What You'll Do

As a Caregiver with SYNERGY HomeCare, you may assist clients with:

• Companionship and social engagement

• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Walking, mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention support

• Meal preparation

• Light housekeeping and laundry

• Medication reminders

• Transportation, errands, and appointments when needed

• Providing a safe and comfortable home environment

• Communicating changes or concerns to the office and family

• Following the client's individual care plan

Qualifications

• Previous professional caregiving experience is strongly preferred

• Current California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration preferred

• Candidates who are not currently registered must be eligible and willing to complete California HCA registration and Live Scan requirements before working with clients

• Current TB clearance, or ability to obtain it

• Reliable transportation

• Valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance when driving is required for an assignment

• Ability to assist safely with personal care and mobility-related tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Strong communication skills

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Experience with senior care, dementia or memory care, personal care, mobility assistance, transfers, or in-home caregiving is especially valuable.

CNA, Home Health Aide (HHA), CPR, and First Aid certifications are a plus but are not required.
