Job summary

Discovery Village Tallahassee is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to enrich residents' lives through hands-on care and meaningful companionship in a home-like setting.

This role involves assisting with daily activities, maintaining safety, and supporting residents' independence, with a full-time first shift schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred and experience with seniors is valued.

• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to perform essential care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and maintaining independence.

As Caregiver, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role

As the Caregiver, your role includes providing hands‑on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home‑like environment.

Position Highlights

• Status: FULL TIME
• Schedule: 1st Shift 7A-3P; Rotating Weekends
• Location: 4501 W Shannon Lakes Dr Tallahassee Fl, 32309
• Rate of Pay: 16.00$

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for designated group of residents during shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
• Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
• Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well‑being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
• Compassionate, resident‑focused approach with superior customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Sound judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
