Role Description

The Caregiver role is a full-time, on-site position based in St. Louis, MO. Caregivers provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. They help with meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands, while promoting a safe and comfortable home environment. Caregivers offer companionship, engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities, and observe and report changes in physical or emotional condition to supervisors. The role may also include medication reminders, support during recuperation, and collaboration with family members and care teams to follow care plans and uphold client dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide personal care and support with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and respectful communication with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Reliability in following care plans, documenting services provided, and reporting changes in client condition to supervisors.
• Ability to perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and other tasks that support a safe, organized home environment.
• Physical capability to assist with transfers, stand for extended periods, and perform moderate lifting as needed.
• Experience in home care, senior care, or a related caregiving setting is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; relevant caregiver or nursing assistant certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet all regulatory and agency compliance requirements.
